Departmental activity:

• Teacher day celebration was on 5 th September 2008.
• Students expressed their view about teacher on Guru Pournima.
• Department organized lecture with the collaboration of University of Pune (Adult education department) on 8 th September 2010 on the eve of International Literacy day.
• Our students participated in “Entrepreneurial Awareness Camp” at Modern College, Ganesh Kind, Pune on 18 th & 19 th August 2008
• Guest Lecture on “Modern Technology in Banking Sector” by Mr. M. G. Mahale (Branch Manager, Union Bank of India, Sangvi, Pune 27) was arranged on 10 th February 2009.
• Prof. V. V. Maltumkar (member of Mural education department) participated in organization of Adult Lecture Series on 6 th September 2008.

One day seminar was organized with the collaboration of PGDBM on “Research Methodology”.

About the Department :-

With the establishment of the college on 17 June 1989 the department got established. Though the department of geography is independent and well equipped with maps. Till on date geography is taught at a general subject (no specialization). With qualified staff the department tries to cater every requirement of the student in the field of geography. The department conduct various competitions e.g. Debating competition, Seminar presentation, Quiz competition, Essay writing etc. The department also conduct a study tour, excursion and field survey. We tries to provide students with latest updates in the field of Geography.
